1. SAFE, NATURAL, PINK SOUNDS

Moonie emits five soothing sounds. The sound of the heartbeat is a real recording from inside mom’s womb, allowing the baby to calm down and feel safe with this familiar sound. In addition, you can listen to the sounds of a mountain stream, wind, the depths of the ocean and rain. Nature knows what’s good, which is why Moonie offers pleasant sounds not only for children, but also for their parents. Moonie sounds are genuine recordings of natural white noise, not computer-generated sounds. Scientists agree that soft white noise helps babies to calm their minds and senses, making it easier for them to fall asleep. Moonie also offers a lullaby played on the kalimba to lull babies to sleep.

Moonie offers five soothing sounds to help baby calm down and fall asleep:

• Heartbeat: The baby remembers its mother’s heartbeat and is reassured.
• White noise: Babies associate white noise with safety and warmth.
• Pink noise: As relaxing as white noise, but with a softer, deeper, more relaxing sound.
• The sound of waves: Drowns out other noises and helps combat anxiety.
• The sound of rain: It also covers the other noises that are detrimental to falling asleep, bringing a feeling of well-being.

WHY PINK NOISE?

Babies are surrounded by low-frequency sounds when they’re in their mother’s womb. Moonie sounds are therefore natural, safe pink noises, dominated by low-frequency sounds.

In pink noise, the acoustic power of high frequencies diminishes, making these sounds safe for toddlers and almost inaudible for adults.

In white noise, the sound power at all frequencies remains constant (the horizontal line in the graph). This means that high-frequency sounds, at equal power levels, are more audible than low-frequency sounds.

2. A FRIEND HUMMING WITH A NIGHT-LIGHT

Inside the plush, an approved LED light serves as a practical nightlight. It doesn’t heat up and is totally safe for babies. Moonie offers seven different light settings, from soft to pulsating, with seven changing colors and a function for choosing baby’s favorite color. The soft light, combined with the sounds emitted by the toy, reminds children of the conditions they experienced in their mother’s womb. It also enables parents to feed and change their baby without having to switch on the main light.

When the baby starts to cry, the lamp automatically lights up with the sound, illuminating and soothing the little one. Moonie’s musical nightlight is also ideal for older babies who often have night terrors and are afraid of the dark. In this case, you can switch on the light only, without the sound, and leave it on all night.

3. INTELLIGENT CRY SENSOR

Moonie is also an excellent caregiver, never tiring and always remaining faithfully at your little one’s side, whatever the circumstances. It has a built-in intelligent cry sensor, which switches to stand-by mode after 60 minutes of continuous noise. When your baby starts to cry, Moonie restarts the soothing sounds.

• Moonie always switches to standby after 60 minutes and remains in standby mode for 3 hours. Baby’s crying triggers the last selected sound for a further 60 minutes, then the cycle repeats itself.
• The intelligent cry sensor remembers the last sound and light setting. So you can program your Moonie to play the light and sound of your choice, or just the sound, when it restarts. The intelligent cry sensor can also be activated without sound.
• By placing Moonie next to your baby with the intelligent cry sensor activated, you can be sure that for the next 3 hours of your baby’s sleep, the cry sensor will be on alert and respond to your baby’s cries.

4. CONVENIENT, ECO-FRIENDLY CHARGING VIA USB

With Moonie, you don’t have to get up at 3 a.m. to change the batteries. The module charges via USB, which is practical, economical and environmentally friendly.

It’s the only humming toy that doesn’t require batteries and is already charged right out of the factory. You can use it immediately after unpacking. So it’s environmentally friendly, and you don’t have to keep buying new batteries.

The Moonie module takes 3 hours to fully charge. A fully charged battery provides around 8 hours of continuous operation with lights and sound activated. Set includes USB cable.
